The Volunteer Attorney Program (VAP) connects income eligible individuals with private attorneys willing to give pro
bono legal assistance. This organization does not have staff attorneys. We rely on private attorneys to donate their time and skills to provide assistance for free or at a low fee.
VAP provide assistance for
civil, non-fee generating matters. We do not provide attorneys to assist with criminal matters.
We ask that if you have not called your local Legal Aid
office to please do so before proceeding with our organization.
If you reside in Northeastern Minnesota,
information about Legal Aid of Northeastern Minnesota (LASNEM) can be found

The first step to receiving assistance through VAP is to attend one of our ten Ask an Attorney Programs. At these programs, volunteer attorneys are available to give anyone up to 15 minutes of free legal advice.
